Premier Farnell is a leading global distributor of technological parts and components for large corporations and individual engineers. As part of our cooperation, we were responsible for the strategy, creation and production of marketing materials for 9 countries.
Our work with Premier Farnell started from small tasks such as display campaigns, interactive sites, greetings cards, and even themed ‘take-over’ ads on portals. Successful projects led to subsequent tasks.
In 2016, the brand introduced new features on its purchasing platform, making it easier for engineers and purchasing department staff to place orders. These included additional sorting options, 3D product views, and combining baskets.
The company had a loyal client base which used their services on a daily basis and was accustomed to the existing platform. Premier Farnell worried that these buyers may be put off by the changes, so our task was to show the advantages of the new solution.
Our „Speed up your shopping” creative concept was the base for the entire campaign’s storytelling. We also developed the strategy and oversaw the creation and production of materials. One such material was pre-roll spots, in which, with a knowing wink, we allowed the main character to „fast-forward” the advert to get to the specifics – just as you can speed up ordering on farnell.com.
We prepared instructional films, banners, and mailings. These focused on the greatest advantage – the ability to place orders at even faster speeds. We explained how to conveniently search, compare and order products on the new platform.
We created e-books for Premier Farnell clients, which were a valuable source of additional information. We filled them with interesting, meritocratic content, such as 8 great ways to improve productivity at work.
Our effective materials were used in 9 different countries, including, Poland, the UK, Germany, Romania, Turkey, and Czechia.
